VINTAGE MILK BOTTLE MAGNET

I've been mixing homemade Christmas gifts with real Christmas gifts this year, only to those who I think that will appreciate it that is! I like things that are from the heart, and I encourage anything DIY.

Today I'm playing elf, listening to Christmas music and making ornaments and Christmas presents for people I love. Check out this little milk bottle magnet I'm made for my Grandma in California. Now if you are in contact with Granny you better not let her see this post as I know she won't stumble upon it by herself!

VINTAGE MILK BOTTLE MAGNET
I wanted to make a magnet because you can keep it up all year round (Mom's suggestion). Paul pitched making a milk jar since it's for a refrigerator. That makes sense. And I love these old bottles.

PS, what lovely friends I have!

I started the project with a magnet that I glued to the back of a cardboard cutout of what I wanted my jar to look like. Then I cut a huge blob of a form that I pinned with quilters fluff to the cardboard. Sewed. Trimmed. Added some marker lines to make a more defined shape. Then designed a logo (Meyers Dairy) - haha. Sewed. Used those ornament wires to construct a handle of sorts and donezo.

That's my success of the day. Besides doing laundry and getting some work done for Hollywood (pretty slow today).

Love,
Amber
